Hace tiempo que anda dando vueltas y reclamando su lugar, y hoy sale: el pianista finlandés Aki Rissanen desde Trio Live (Edition Records | Junio 24, 2022), camino a convertirse en uno de los grandes trios europeos por su fresca y natural propuesta. Lo presentamos hace unas pocas semanas desde un sencillo y ahora con el álbum completo lo reprogramamos, Keith Jarrett con Bordeaux Concert (ECM | Sept 30, 2022), documento histórico, a éstas horas, de su última gira europea grabado el 6 de julio de 2016 en Bordeaux, francia. Recordarán ustedes que el genial pianista sufrió dos derrames cerebrales en 2018 que le imposibilitaron continuar tocando, anunció su retiro en 2020.
Otra gran entrega del pianista estonio Kristjan Randalu acompañado por la New Wind Jazz Orchestra desde Sisu (Whirlwind Recordings | Sept 30, 2022), una enorme experiencia musical que representa un inicio para ambos, el primer álbum del pianista con una orquesta y el debut de la propio banda dirigida por Wolf Kerschek. Muy atractivo y emotivo el álbum del jóven guitarrista estadounidense Nick Rousseau, This Entity Makes Music (Adhyâropa Records | Sept 30, 2022), música que invita a la escucha detenida y a un paseo renovador.
Los chicos de tapa, The Bad Plus desde the bad plus (Edition Records | Sept 30, 2022) nueva configuración del famoso trio liderado hasta el 2017 el pianista Ethan Iverson, fundador del popular tio. Hoy con un perfil y horizontes muy diferentes, la banda se reconfigura y adopta un enfoque muy particular. Los acompaña el genial guitarrista Ben Monder.
Nos vamos con el baterista y percusionista estadounidense Makaya McCraven con In These Times (International Anthem | Sept 23, 2022), un álbum muy trabajado durante los últimos 7 años que cosecha once temas que resúmen la perseguida estética del baterista en lo que va de su exitosa carrera.
